Welcome to War Machine,

  There are a few things that you should know about War Machine before applying. I want to start by trying to differentiate ourselves from the other guilds on this server. Most guilds worth their salt will try to label themselves as “endgame raiding” guilds that are only seeking “hardcore” players. There are other guilds that will try to describe their mood and how things are run as “laid back”. While we would like to be both, balancing this is actually quite difficult. Filling holes in open class spots sometimes requires bringing in a person that is under-geared but that can perform the job. Being too laid back distracts from coordination and leads to wipes and more importantly, costs everyone more time.

    Understand that first and foremost, this is a game. You bought it to enjoy it in one way or another. So please do so. But please don’t do so at another guild member’s expense. Our focuses as a guild are responsibility, coordination, fairness, team play and maturity. Second to this is progression once these principles are cemented. What may set us apart from other guilds is the maturity level of our players. Many of us are either parents, married, or have a boyfriend or girlfriend in the guild. Not that this is the only criteria for maturity, it does however set a base for responsibility. On the other hand, I’ve witnessed a thirteen year old act as an outstanding raid leader when he needed to fill in the position. Responsibility and accountability come in all forms and we expect you to have these qualities.

   Second, don’t be a hero. You are not going to impress anyone by trying to be highest DPS and ultimately wiping the raid because you pulled the boss. Conversely, if asked to do something, try to do it! If you showed an immediate reaction and effort, people will readily look past a mistake. Your impression on us will come quicker with consistency and reliability. Sure, you can ask questions, but preparedness is a better way to understand something. Take the time to research a fight prior to it, not during it.

   Ultimately, War Machine is a family. While you are still trying to join with our family, keep in mind that we are fiercely protective of each other and that showing arrogance or greed is a quick path to removal.

We are aware not all of this will apply but when level 50 comes around remember this!
